Uh, *why*?  Writing an OS in Java makes as much sense as writing it in Visual
Basic.  Java hasn't the speed, the primitives, or the low-level capability to
do a good job.  Besides, there's plenty of OSs out there (and .ost of them are
written in C and assembler - for REALLY good reasons) - why write yet another
one that will be inferior because you wanted to use an inferior tool for the job?
