Using 20000901 version with RH 7.0

Hi all
i am a newbie trying to use oskit 20000901 with RH 7.0. The compilation 
failed in the middle. It also gave me a lot of warnings while compiling. I 
thought it was some mistake, but I then compiled an older version and 
that worked. I was wondering what the problem could be. 
Has anybody else faced the same problem??
