Use of netboot disks

I'm trying to get netboot to work on a group of machines, and I've set up
a BOOTP server to provide the IP parameters to the machines as they boot
up. I'm currently providing them with their IP address, default gateway,
hostname, netmask and domain name, but when the netboot kernel boots up,
it says "bootp didn't give me all I want". I was wondering what else it
needs from the bootp server?

When I manually boot my own kernel, and it contacts the bootp server, it
doesn't have a problem and is able to obtain all the parameters it needs.
