It sounds like a summary of the CVS problem some people are having is that
on some older versions ov CVS, you need to do a login with any non null
passwd. So, if you try a checkout and it says that authorization fails, do
the following and give it a non-null passwd:

	cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@fluxcvs.cs.utah.edu:/cvs login
